I used to read encyclopedias, not really dictionaries. But it comse down to how a person feels. And when you're overly enpathic and have to live around people, stuffing it into some corner of your skill-set, you cget to contemplate the fun of sticking an "a" in front of every descriptor in the world.
I am struggling to find any examples that are small and innocuous. Therefore, we are moving on.
Everyone thinks people are social creatures. I'm really not and I get tired of folks trying to somehow reform me into some party animal. I just don't care about social stuff. Sadly, everyone takes the fact that I don't care to hang out with them personally, so I end up looking like a terrible person. I mean, I probably am a terrible person, but I have more evolved reasons than being asocial to be labelled "terrible".
Being anti-anything is a bad thing, probably. For instance, being anti-racist means that you want racists to disappear and never come back. The anti-social bunch (many of which aren't really against sociality) lob grenades into house parties, for whatever reasons they cook up. I'm not sure anyone is truly anti-social (maybe the Uni-bomber), but I have been introduced to some bizzare people over the years.
It's hard to break it to the party people, but there are people who just don't need the social scene. I am one of those sorts, perfectly happy to avoid various gatherings and just attend things for the sake of my wife or some community obligation. I do it mostly for other people.
Don't waste your precious effort in trying to put together a crowd for me to "hang with". I'd rather be left to myself and to my own devices without interacting much with others.
