I think Lisa would like the old Ragland Store/House 75-acre combo better and she would go along with it better. The biggest issue is that there is no water there - there was a big cistern there that supplied water to the place. This will need water catchment and perhaps the use of the existing cistern (which may have had leaks as there is a dug out corner of the house that exposes some of the underground (torn out) plumbing.Essentially, everything needs to be installed as if nothing is existing.

I am wanting to concentrate on doing vermiculture composting toilets and gravity-fed solar/rocket-stove showering with graywater out, both at the house and at the store (Lisa's place)

Lisa wants the existing house to be Matt's apartment (the paneled room - maybe not with the dorm fridge, microwave, hot plate) and the overflow for visitors to sleep (passive solar and thermostatic heaters and swamp coolers). We need to encourage Matt to be more water efficient, especially in showering (get wet, use soap and shampoo without water, rinse off).

There is already *power on-site*, so you are already paying for that - no need to spend massive amounts of money to get some exotic gas fridge, for instance. I think we should have the service point on the Electric hot water heating is a bit of a waste, but if you rig it with solar-pre-heated water, this gets a lot more economical to just have a thermostatic on-demand hot water heater like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRTS9XSW . I have a bunch of solar panels, so I want to make several things able to use solar especially basic lighting and radios and things that need to work without interruption.

As for water, I really do want to go with gravity fed - this has the added benefit that point-of-service electric hot water heaters can handle the flow better.

   * There is a great thought for making a shower "building" (the old laundry room) that is heated in as solar a way as possible.
   * Go from solar collector to rocket stove to a high "rain barrel" tank (work some circulation in here if needed)
   * The base of the shower (a screen over grid of sorts) flows into greywater uses.

I think I want the store (where Lisa wants to spend the bulk of her time)

+ Rincon Canyon Add-on

I need to get proper terms for making this like a "moon shot" - It is for scenery sake on the rim. https://www.acrevalue.com/report/view/a94de01c20/

This below was information I pulled together when my target was the northerly-adjacent 80 acres owned by the Rush family.

   * buy a property (rush 80 acres?) on the rim. parcel R911020 (1 Oct 2024 my inquiry to the Rush Trust was sent)
* Current Owners: RUSH, RAY O & DIANA Trust
      * Taxes are only about $5 a year! Attached Statement
      * Elevation @ 34.825, -103.743 is 4,911 ft. (1,497 m) - this seems the highest point on the 80 acres.
      * Elevation @ 35.133, -103.699 is 4,956 ft. (1,511 m) - this is Tucumcari Mountain summit.
      * Elevation @ 35.16, -103.728 is 4,129 ft. (1,258 m) - this is approximately Mere Cottage.
      * if antennas are mounted at both sites at 20 meters, there is good line of site.
      * This is a good cheap 70cm directional antenna - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FC7WG7T
   * land the boat (Reunion lander) on the highest point. - use the coordinates above
* set up the mast and rig antennas.
      * rig the bananapi and solar power station And packet radio 30 Meter DSB transceiver and antenna.! and point to point V/UHF link with Mere Cottage. Track down and properly store the radio, antenna, cabling, and such in the boat.
* https://www.westmountainradio.com/pdf/Quarter-4-2016.pdf - Good info on 30M packet. Dated 2016. * The DSB radio I built is already rigged for the frequencies used for JS8CALL, which does the basic message store and forward. Here is a good intro to it: https://miscdotgeek.com/js8call-getting-started/
      * Use existing cisterns and put in a tank for water catchment. There might be a spring down in the canyon (a fun thing to dig around for)
   * maintain on commutes (supply and maintenance runs).
   * Lisa likes this stove for an upgrade - https://www.centralrestaurant.com/kratos-29y-046-lp-60-gas-range-6-burners-280-000-btu-output-24-griddle-liquid-propane-gas.html?msclkid=65609c25767a174ed697fb3c083232be&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Bing%20%7C%20Shopping%20%7C%20Private%20Label%20Equipment&utm_term=4576992033979013&utm_content=Kratos%20Gas%20Ovens%2FRanges
      * 6 burner, griddle, 2 ovens - She likes this one!
