My original "off-grid" property
I bought the desert acre from Hemingway Land Company for $1500 (much cheaper over time than rent) - $19/year on property tax. It is a lot in the Rio Grande Estates subdivision that never had any covenants or restrictions.
I think if I were to sell the Crash Site, I or another of my family would end up needing the option of living there. Only about $20/year to hang onto it.
It is only an hour away from Albuquerque and all its wonders; less than 30 mins away from Socorro and the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Lots of jobs for a techie both ways.
But things go strangely out there and I would like to get rid of it.
